Charlie Wilson Shiflett
KIA by a sniper, 30 July 1944 Normandy, France

These are letters written by Charlie Wilson Shiflett to his family during his 
military service in the US Army during World War II starting in July 1943 and ending 
with his death on July 30, 1944.  Wilson's body was returned to the United States in 1947 
and buried at Mt. Moriah Methodist Church Cemetery, White Hall, VA.  Tombstone
I made every attempt to transcribe the letters exactly the way Wilson had written them.
