Dear Mother
I will answer your letter I got today i am will and hope youall are the
same. I am waiting for Dinner now. I wrote Roberta a letter Sunday
But haven't heard from her yet. We have to work on Saturday until 5:30
oclock and then we are off until Monday Morning at 5:30.
I don't guess Uncle Sam is working Now. What have they done about the
stoick. I am glad I ant down there. I had just soon be in the Army
as to be working in Maryland. I like the Army ok. It sure is hot
down here. A bout 9 or 10 Men falls out every day from the heat.
They look like they are dead when they pass out. They put them on a truck
and carry them to the hospital until they get well.
Send my Bathing suit to me as soon as you can. We have to have one for we
have to take training on swimming. You can sell my part of Potatoes and
save the Money for me. write and let me know how many bushels Did I make
in all. And then how many bushels I got to my part.
Is Chester at home with Uncle Sam. I guess they will soon get him in the
Army before long.
Have Va and Cecil been home lately I got a letter from them today and said that
it was awfully Icy down there. She said that the first and Last was closed
every Sunday. thats a sulune. She said that they made it up on
Saturday nights. She said they have about 2 or 3 fights every Saturday
night. She said Cecil was up ther Saturday Night when they was fighting
and he had a beer behind him. She said when She heard the fight She run up
there.
Please Send My bathing suit to me. I have got to have it by
Thursday. We will have to go for Swimming training Thursday. Well
since news is scarce I will close with love to all. Bye Bye
