Dear Mother and All
I will answer your letter I got the other day and was glad to hear from you I am
well and hope you all are the same.
I like the Army fine. I would have answered your letter sooner but I
haven't had time. I got a lot of letters to answer now. I haven't
got a letter from Pauline for about 2 weeks and don't give a God Dam If I don't
get any more. Every time I think about the way she done me I get Mad as
hell. I got a letter from Roberta and Fountain the other day and they sent
me $5.00 but I haven't had time to answer it yet.
Mama you can sell my part of Potatoes and keep the Money for me.
We went on the Range for 4 days to shoot the Rifle The Platoon I am in put
the Targets up for 2 days and then shot the Rifle for 2 days. Yesterday we
shot a 33 Rifle for about 4 hours. We have a lot of fun. We have to
get down and crawl for about 200 yard. I busted the cristle in my watch
the other day I am go send it home pretty soon I got my pictures the other day
they weren't so good but I'll sned you one.
We are going on a hike next week and stay out for about 3 or 4 nights. We
go swimming every Thursday. Well since news is scarce I will close By By
answer soon
