"Let all the children write letters telling what they want, and mail them to Santa Claus, care News-Record, Harrisonburg, Va." The Daily-News Record (Harrisonburg, Virginia), Wednesday, Dec. 17th, 1914.

Dear Old Santa Claus-
Please bring me a little engine and an automobile and some raisins and nuts. I am a little boy six years old. Please don't miss me.
