Found this on a piece of paper in old deed book in Albemarle County Clerks
Office.
13 March 1785
Richard Shifflett bought land from Benjamin Huntsman and wife Mary 72 acres lying
on the banks of the Jones and James river . The land adjoining Thomas Sanford
and John Shifflett. See deed.
John and Susannah Shifflett lived in Orange County Virginia, stated on deed. Sold land to Micajah Shifflett on the 2, April 1821, land located to James Gentry's line
and Richard Shifflett's line.
John Shifflett bought grist mill from Richard Snow 2 Dec 1833.
Candis Shifflett gifted land to Henrey B. and Morton Shifflett to care for her
14 Jan 1843.
