Thomas and Anna Hardin Shifflet Bible
Submitted by: Al and Cheri Salz salzaeck@mtco.com

Cheri was fortunate in being able to track down one of Thomas Ephiram Shifflet's diaries. Thomas E. was the son of Thomas and Anna Hardin Shifflet. He was born in Madison Co., KY; but by 1916, when that diary was written, he was living in IL. The diary led to the discovery of his Bible. Inside the Bible was a loose sheet of paper with a list of Births and Deaths. Since the first two entries on the page are for the marriage of Thomas Shifflet and his wife Anna, this is a transcript of their bible. Also note the "Great, Great" notation above Thomas' name and the initials, A.R., at the bottom of the second page, both in a different handwriting. If anyone knows the location of the Thomas and Anna Hardin Shifflet Bible, please contact Cheri Salz.
