Comments: Sparks and Nellie, as Ellen was known, moved to Oklahoma about 1905 and lived in Red Rock. He and his son John owned Shiflet & Shiflet Ranch and were noted
for their pure bred Hereford line of cattle. John at one time was, I am told, President of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association. I am looking for links back to Va. The family knows nothing about Spark's kin. Thanks for your help.

it could have been Merriwether. Bob Klein
