Comments:The following is more information about the descendants of Picket Shiflet (probably the brother of Powell). Most of the information came to me from Marteal Wells and we have collaborated over the past few days to put this list together. Since Alice Shiflet Pruett Young was my g-grandmother, I was able to add some information concerning Alice and her family. Abram Smith "Jack" Pruette was my grandfather. Since some of Jack and Lena's 10 children are still living I have omitted their children. My mother, Lois Pruette Kerr, is one of their children that is still living and she has been my source for some of the info on Alice, her husbands, and her children. My mother knew Alice, all of her children and her children's spouses quite well, so I believe the info is accurate. We are quite certain that none of Alice's children are still living, but do not know the death dates of most of them.
