ANNIE MCALLISTER
Annie V. McAllister, 77, loving mother and wife, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 1992 at her home. Born Nov. 4, 1914, in Albemarle County, she was the daughter of the late Mannis B. Walton and the late Maggie Morris Walton. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin, Lucian, Amos, Foncie, Cecil and Harvey. Mrs. McAllister was a member of Ivy Creek United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ernest L. McAllister Sr.; her children, Ernest L. McAllister Jr. and his wife, Nellie, of Barboursville, Shirley Melton and her husband, Frank, of Charlottesville, Avis McAllister and his wife, Linda Neher of Charlottesville, and Greg McAllister and his wife, Lee, of Earlysville; her sister, Effie Gibson of Boonesville; two granddaughters, Kathy Martin and Wendy McAllister; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1992 in Holly Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Lord officiating. ERNEST MCALLISTER
Ernest "Tubby" McAllister, 66, of Crozet, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at a local hospital after a long struggle with leukemia. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather that enjoyed hunting and working in his garden. Born March 8, 1936, in Albemarle County, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Edith M. McAllister. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Renee. He was retired from Acme Visible Records after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Crozet Sportsman Club, Wild Rose Hunt Club and Crozet Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary T. McAllister; three daughters, Wendy Fitzgerald and her husband, Troy, Kaye Morris and her husband, Travis, and Melissa Moon and her husband, Todd, all of Crozet; three grandchildren, Kelsey and Kyle Fitzgerald and Trevor Morris; a brother, Mervin McAllister and his wife, Shelby; four sisters, Betty Ferneyhough, Lois Shifflett and her husband, James, Ethel Gibson and her husband, Fred, and Madeline Bailey and her husband, Kirk; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crozet Baptist Church, by David Collyer. Burial will follow in the Rockgate Cemetery, Crozet. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Teague Funeral Home. Teague Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

GEORGE LEE MCALLISTER
Mr. George Lee McAllister, age 76 died at his home yesterday in Crozet. He was born October 4,1900 in Greene County,Virginia. He was the son of the late John T. and Virginia Frazier McAllister. Surviving is his wife Mrs. Mittie Pearl Conley McAllister, three sons, Herbert Junior McAllister and Patrick H. McAllister both of Crozet. Norman S. McAllister of Charlottesville, two daughters Miss Mary Lee McAllister and Miss Joyce Ann McAllister both of Crozet, two brothers James Ellis McAllister and Herman Jack McAllister both of Crozet, two sisters, Mrs. Ethel McAllister Conley of Crozet and Mrs. Lena McAllister Gibson of Charlottesville, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was a retired Security Guard at Acme Visible Records Inc, in Crozet Va., in 1966. He was also a retired farmer and orchardist and a member of the Crozet Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Crozet Baptist Church with interment in the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery in White Hall with Dr. Paul Alverson officiate.

Mr. Harry Wheeler McAllister, age 70, died at his home Monday. He was born April 19, 1907 in Albemarle County, son of the late Richard and Lillie Garrison McAllister. Surviving are his wife, Edith Morris McAllister; two sons, Mervin L. McAllister of Charlottesville and Ernest R. McAllister of Crozet; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Oliver Mrs. Lois Shifflett, Mrs. Ethel Gibson and Mrs. Madeline Bailey, all of Crozet; four brothers, Roy McAllister of Dundalk, Md.; Wilson McAllister of Free Union, Va.; Ernest McAllister of Charlottesvile, Va. and Clyde McAllister of Bristol, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Joe Morris of Dundalk, Md.; Mrs. Amos Morris of Crozet, Va.; Mrs. Albert Mitchell of Alabama, Mrs. Kemper Maupin of Free Union, Va.; thirteen grandchildren. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Presbyterian Church in Boonesville, Va. Family requests donations be made to the Rescue Squad. HERMAN JACK MCALLISTER
Herman Jack McAllister of Crozet died at a local hospital on Oct. 30, 1999, at the age of 79. He was born in Albemarle County on April 1, 1920, to the late John Turner and Virinda Jane Frazier McAllister. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Martha E. Blackwell McAllister, one Daughter, Dot Alford and her husband, Donald, of Crimora; one son, James McAllister and his wife, Mary, of Crozet; five grandchildren, Donna Pugh and her husband, Greg, Crozet, Debbie Pugh of Crimora, Jim McAllister and his fiancee, Mary Jo Barrett, of Crozet, Kim Smith and her husband, Buddy, of Batesville, Rhonda Johnson and her husband, Paul, of Crozet, and Connie S. McAllister of Sherando, and Steve R. Pugh of Barboursville; four great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Pugh, Joshua Pugh, MaryGrace McAllister and Callie McAllister; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Conley and Lena Gibson; and two brothers, Lee and Ellis McAllister. He retired from Acme Visible Records after 35 years of service. Mr. James Ellis McAllister, 80, died Wednesday, April 2, 1986, in a local hospital. He was born June 14, 1905, in Greene Co., son of the late John Turner McAllister and Virinda Frazier McAllister. Surviving is his wife, Nellie Conley McAllister; one daughter, Marie McAllister of Crozet; one sister, Ethel Mary Conley of Crozet; one brother, Herman (Jack) Jackson McAllister of Crozet. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Lee McAllister; one sister, Lena Ann Gibson. He was a retired security guard at Acme Visible Records and a member of the Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, at the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, interment will be in the church cemetery, the Rev. Wayne Collier assisted by the Rev. Herbert Parker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel.

CROZET - John Turner McAllister, 86, died last night at his home at Crozet after a long illness. He was born Dec. 7, 1875, in Greene County, son of the late Bert and Rebecca Shiflett McAllister. His wife, the former Virinda Frazier, died in 1955. He is survived by three sons, Lee McAllister, Jack McAllister and Ellis McAllister, all of Crozet; two daughters, Mrs. Junior Conley of Crozet and Mrs. Eugene Gibson of Charlottesville; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Garrison of Boonesville, Mrs. Alice Teeter of Fishersville and Mrs. Edna Roberts of Hyattsville, Md.; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. EDT Friday at Mt. Moriah Methodist Church at White Hall with burial in the church cemetery.

CROZET - Karen Renee McAllister, the infant daughter of Ernest and Mary Thomas McAllister of Crozet, died today in a Charlottesville hospital. Her maternal grandparents are Raymond and Martha Thomas, and her paternal grandparents are Harry and Edith McAllister, all of Crozet. A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Rock Gate Cemetery in Crozet. Preddy-Teague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

LINDA HARDING MCALLISTER
Linda Harding McAllister, 45, of Crozet, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2004. She was born in Charlottesville on March 18, 1958, to Violet and James Harding of Crozet. She is survived by her husband, Melvin McAllister of Crozet; a daughter, Valerie McAllister Schwartz and her husband, Dwayne, of Waynesboro; and two sisters, Barbara Browning of Charlottesville and Deborah Harding of Crozet. She worked in the pathology department at the University of Virginia Medical Center as a medical technologist, until she became disabled in 1999. She was a member of Church of the Blue Ridge in Afton. Linda loved everyone and everything including a special beloved puppy named Ally. The family would like to give a special thanks to their family and friends for their love and support during her illness. A special thanks to Dr. Chris Zazakos and all the staff at the Hope Center as well as the seventh floor nursing staff at the Martha Jefferson Hospital. The family wants to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for His grace and mercy in Linda's life. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, but the family will receive friends at their homes. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2004, at Church of the Blue Ridge in Afton. Interment will follow at the Rockgate Cemetery, Crozet, with pastor Whitney Critzer officiating. Family and friends are invited to a meal and fellowship time at the Church of the Blue Ridge after the interment. LLOYD EVERETT MCALLISTER
Lloyd Everett McAllister died Friday, March 2, 2001, in Charlottesville. He was the husband of the late Virginia Woody McAllister. Mr. McAllister was born in Whitehall on April 25, 1918, to Emmit and Fanny Shifflet McAllister. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was retired as a security officer. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons; Lloyd Everett McAllister Jr. of Staunton, and Roy Franklin McAllister of Richmond; one daughter, Nancy McAllister Hensley of Charlottesville; two brothers, Charles McAllister and Lewis Earl McAllister, both of Richmond; three faithful and loving step-daughters, Margaret Bowen Kirby and Avis Bowen Smith, both of Palmyra, and Frances Bowen Piper of Wake Forest, N.C.; and a number grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Burial will take place at noon Monday in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Church. Diuguid Wiggington Chapel is serving the family.

MERVIN LEE MCALLISTER
Mervin Lee McAllister, 70, of Crozet, died Sunday, June 29, 2003, in a local nursing home. Born in Albemarle County, on January 24, 1933, he was the son of the late Harry and Edith Morris McAllister. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ernest "Tubby" McAllister. Mervin was a local restaurateur and club manager for many years in the Charlottesville and Albemarle area. He attended schools in Albemarle and Nelson Counties, the Jefferson School of Commerce and was a veteran of the United States Army. He most recently operated the Crozet Pool Room for 22 years. He was a member of the Charlottesville Loyal Order of the Moose and the Crozet Sportsman's Club. He is survived by his wife, Shelby J. Mawyer McAllister of Crozet; sons, Stephen Lee Dixon and his wife, Wanda, Mark M. McAllister and his family, Jessica and Parker; one grandson, Lorenzo "Zo" and his mother, Tamala; two daughters, Robin Dixon and Erin Marley; his loving and devoted sisters, Betty Ferneyhough, Lois Shiflett and her husband, James, Ethel Gibson and her husband, Fred, Madeline Bailey and her husband, Kirk; three sisters in law, Mary T. McAllister, Brenda Maupin and her husband, Pete, Beth Wilson and her husband, Trey; a brother in law, Donald Mawyer; his mother in law, Mary G. Mawyer and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Crozet Baptist Church with Dr. Roy S. Thomas, III officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, White Hall. Mittie Pearl McAllister, 79, died at her home Wednesday in Crozet. She was born June 1, 1904, in Greene Co., daughter of the late Jack Conley and Ann Liza Roach Conley. She was a retired employee of Mortons Frozen Foods and a member of the Crozet Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Lee McAllister and Joyce A. McAllister both of Crozet; three sons, Herbert J. McAllister, Patrick McAllister, both of Crozet and Norman S. McAllister of Proffit, Va.; two brothers, Junery Conley of Charlottesville and Ruben Conley of Crozet; a sister, Mrs. Elis (Nellie) McAllister of Crozet; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Crozet United Methodist Church with interment in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery, White Hall, Va., the Rev. Dave Collyer will officiate. NELLIE CONLY MCALLISTER
Nellie Conley McAllister passed away at a local nursing home on Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at the age of 85. She was born March 27, 1912, in Greene County. She was the daughter of the late Jack Conley and Anliza Roach Conley. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Ellis McAllister. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mittie McAllister; and five brothers; Irving Roach, Journey Conley, Ruben Conley, Junie Conley and Kemper Conley. She is survived by one daughter, Marie M. Jarvis and her husband, W. Shirley Jarvis of Crozet; and many nieces and nephews. She was also survived by a very special brother-in-law, Jack McAllister, and his wife, Martha, of Crozet; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Gibson. She was a caring, loving and devoted homemaker. She was known as "Mama Nellie" by many very dear and special children whom she baby-sat for many years and loved as her very own. She enjoyed attending the Pentecostal churches and reading the Bible daily before she became ill. "Dear Grandma - We know that you are the prettiest angel that God has in Heaven now." We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone at Heritage Hall for their love and care, and to Dr. Jeff Davis and Dr. Caughron for all their care and compassion. Family night will be held today at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel, Crozet, from 7 to 8 p.m. A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Victory Hill Church of God, Crozet, with the Rev. Patrick Henry McAllister, 65, of Crozet, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, at Martha Jefferson Hospital after a short illness. He was born on March 17, 1936, in Albemarle County, to the late George Lee McAllister and Mittie Pearl Conley McAllister. He is survived by three sons, Douglas Brian McAllister of Destin, Fla., Kenneth Lee McAllister and his wife, Alanna, of Bowling Green, Ky., and John Alan McAllister and his wife, Mary-Camille of Fredericksburg; two brothers, Herbert McAllister and his wife, Helen, of Crozet, and Norman McAllister and his wife, Phyllis, of Charlottesville; two sisters, Mary Lee McAllister and Joyce McAllister, both of Crozet; and a special friend, Janine Herr of Crozet. He had recently retired from the J. W. Sieg Distributing Co. and a was member of the Crozet Moose Club. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Crozet Baptist Church, with interment in Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville. The Rev. David Collyer will officiate.
